Work commenced as expected in March to repair the bridge on the footpath from Coveney to Downham Hythe, but unfortunately this work has been paused after the contractors found water vole activity. It is expected that this work will re-commence in September.

The defibrillator at the Village Hall has been re-activated and should be available for use again. The emergency services can provide the code to open the cabinet, and the Village Hall committee and the Parish Council also have access to this code. The project is moving forward: last weekend we planted 14 shrubs and small trees around the pond and on the bank, and a cherry tree on the roadside verge.
