The pond area near the Pound in Coveney looked very different in the 1920s and before the bank was widened:

We will shortly be applying for grant funding to regenerate the pond area. Those of you who have lived in the village for a long time will recall that it was last regenerated over twenty years ago – and looked like this:

We would like to improve the current condition of the pond area which may include some of the following improvements:
- Increased all-weather accessibility to create an inclusive space for all to share
- Additional seating to welcome visitors to the village
- Replanting of the bank with native and pond friendly plants to improve biodiversity
- Additional bulb planting
- Additional information point and way-marking
Before submitting the application for funding we are keen to get feedback on what is important to the community, and we would be grateful if you can complete the feedback form below. We will keep everyone updated on progress, and will be consulting further on the plans in due course.
We hope the community will support and engage us on this exciting project, the area is a valued space but is now looking tired and requires some further intervention:

Please take the time to complete this form and click the Submit button.
