Next steps –
Thank you to everyone who completed the recent questionnaire. The results show that most respondents consider it important to resolve the future of the building, and there is support for exploring options for its long-term use.
Our immediate next steps are to:
- Contact anyone who believes they may have a claim of ownership and ask them to provide supporting evidence.
- Speak with local residents who are willing to help form a small steering group.
- Explore whether a community organisation, such as a CIO, could be established to take on ownership and management of the building if the legal position can be resolved.
- Continue investigating possible funding routes, including the National Lottery Awards for All, which may be suitable for early legal and preparatory costs.
